I am 100% against opening up…

I am 100% against opening up the Greenbelt, particularly when this Government campaigned with a promise not to touch the Greenbelt. There are many other ways to expedite housing given existing parameters within municipal boundaries and there is no public interest served in using precious eco systems and farmland for housing development sprawl. Higher and mid-range density in cities and towns is a much better option and maintains this precious greenspace at a time when we are very concerned about the impact of the climate crisis.

Please do not go back on your word and open up the greenbelt to development. This would be a diastrous mistake for Ontario.
