Part of this government's election platform was a promise to leave the Greenbelt as is. It is why I voted for them again. If I had known this government would renege on this promise, I would never have re-elected them.

Housing is important, but so is saving green space: it is necessary for our water table, it is necessary for food growth, it is necessary for biodiversity, it is necessary for health. The balance between us and nature is crucial for our survival.

We must focus on this balance not only for today, but for the future. The Greenbelt was granted protection for a reason. We cannot keep paving over everything. For God's Sake, keep in place. KEEP YOUR PROMISE!!
