Ontario has some of the world's most significant wetlands in the world for biodiversity, conservation and mitigating climate change. To remove even more of the environmental protections keeping them safe, most of which are bulldozed over for profit already, is to proclaim loudly and to the world that we care more about the profits of developers than we do about the future of our children. It is against science and reason to use the dwindling habitats of endangered species and dwindling natural space we have for the sole purpose of more urban sprawl and lining pockets.

We are in a critical time in our planet and our species' history to do what is right and just, not convenient and profitable in the moment.
