The Green Belt is precious. Southwestern Ontario contains critically important natural locations essential to several species. This biodiversity is priceless, and if parts of the Green Belt get paved over, we will lose some precious parts of our natural heritage.
The idea of building on the Green Belt is just devastating. I never thought I'd see the day when we'd have a Bill 23 that recklessly abandons our commitment to the health of our natural environment. I'm completely depressed and angered by this possibility.
Bill 23 is a mistake that will damage the natural environment far more than this government considers. It is a very high risk with no return to Ontarians, just a few rich friends and favorites of the present government. I cannot express my outrage in strong enough terms.
