The plan brought forward by the Ontario government is specifically designed to benefit developers while taking an approach that completely ignores the best interest and desires of the average citizen.

This government manufactured a contract crisis with CUPE to create a dominating news story and tried to slip this set of changes in hoping no one would notice the announcement. I can tell you this has not happened, the people of Ontario are sick of broken promises from the premier. The protection of the environmentally sensitive and agricultural land is critical in this day and age and piece by piece, the premier is going to shatter any natural greenspace left in the province.

So many elements of the bill that was passed required infinitely more consultation instead of forcing it upon the province with pieces that will damage development for years to come.
