I am 100% opposed to removing 7,400 acres of land from the greenbelt. This land is not needed to provide sufficient affordable housing, but it’s development will reduce the environmental health of the region. The negative impacts of the amendments are permanent; the costs will be felt by all future generations. Short-term profits for a few landowners should not be prioritized over environmental protections that benefit all.
