I am opposed to development…

I am opposed to development on the geologically significant Oak Ridges Moraine. These areas are deemed conservation areas because of their biodiversity. As a citizen of Durham Region and a member of the Oak Ridges Trail Association, I also want to point out that the Oak Ridges Trails are maintained by volunteers. The Oak Ridges provides hiking while socializing opportunities for many people, especially seniors, which is a benefit for both their physical and mental well being. It is not necessary to develop on the Oak Ridges moraine when land for affordable housing is available within urban boundaries.
