Please approve Waterloo Region's Official Plan Amendment 6. Don’t try to fix what isn’t broken. Waterloo Region’s plan doesn’t need fixing. Don’t take powers away from conservation authorities. Please don’t build on floodplains. Any of these decisions would be reckless. Your own housing task force reported that land was not the limiting factor for housing so there is no need to open up ANY of the Greenbelt for development. All but one of our 17 elected representatives voted for the Regional Official Plan Amendment 6 because it fights climate change. It will reduce traffic emissions, the biggest source of greenhouse gases in Waterloo Region.
