This legislation is very specific to a very few instances that has become an issue in recent years. The reduction in camping time in one spot from 21 to 7 days is too restrictive along with requirements of at least 1km distance between campsites. Many house boat operators do camp at designated campsites along the water and are within the 300m requirements. This punishes everyone that is respectful of neighbours and land/water use rights.

There are lots of areas where boats go to moor for overnight or a couple of days and the cottages are outright hostile towards the boaters. In some instances blasting music at all hours of the night to try and drive legitimate users away. This is obviously a 2 way street . What in the proposed legislation will deal with those following the rules who are being harassed by land owners who simply don't want then there?
