Quite simply, I feel the OMB to be a redundant service. It rarely serves the public interest and too often overrides the democratic will of the citizenry. Land use planning is a complex process, with several opportunities for open, transparent dialogue between project proponents and concerned citizens. Those most directly impacted by any decision, that is those who interact and claim to live in the area as their primary residence, are in the best position to make a final decision on projects.
