This is a massive misstep and is unnecessarily cruel to animals. As a veterinary professional, and a firm believer and supporter of the One Health initiative, I cannot in good conscience stand for this sort of legislation. Please reconsider for the good of the animals that make up our local ecosystems, and out of respect for the sentience of these beings. They do not deserve to suffer for such an unjust end.
