After learning about this proposal, I have become very concerned of its ramifications on animal welfare in Ontario. The practice of trialing seems completely at odds with 21st century wildlife management and the treatment of animals both domestic and wild. I see no benefit to the public, outside of the small minority who engage in this sport/practice, and a great deal to be lost by expanding access for those who seem unconcerned with the consequences for the animals involved. As a long time resident of this province, I hope this proposal does not move forward.
