This seems very cruel to the wildlife. They are being help captive for long durations which is incredibly stressful to them. Prey animals like hares can die from the stress alone and predator animals like foxes and coyotes are very important for predation control. Encouraging the hunting of them outside of the hunting season even if for training purposes is not right.
