Today I will begin by saying what I liked the most about this Proposal which is the following:

Of specific public interest, one condition that will be included on the Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air) will require the company to make available, at all times, at the facility for inspection by interested members of the Public, a table (emission summary table) that documents the facility's compliance with Ontario Regulation 419/05.

And I want everyone to know that I'll make this my personal MISSION to ensure that our ENVIRONMENT does not suffer any more than it has to because our Planet has reached the BREAKING POINT...even right here in the Ottawa Valley.

Now I'd like to say what CONCERNS me the most is what we don't SEE in Proposal (ERO# 019-7003) which involves the ISSUE of WATER and I'm attaching the Justification Report prepared by an Engineering Firm for the REZONE of the CONSTRUCTION YARD to PROVE without a doubt that their is a WATER PROBLEM on the Property where this proposed CNL CONCRETE PLANT would be located.

The QUESTIONS to ASK before this Ready-Mix Plant proceeds are:

Where is the WATER to make 800 cubic meters of CONCRETE per day going to come from or where will all the WASTE WATER generated by this facility and their large CONCRETE TRUCK FLEET go?

In the GROUND...I HOPE NOT because as a Resident of the Shady Pines Community and one of the 42 HOMES that DEPEND on a communal WELL (located less than 500m from proposed concrete plant) to provide WATER to their Family & Friends because without WATER, there is no LIFE!!!

I've asked these QUESTIONS to Town Officials and this is the Response I received by email:

"There will be no impact on the water table as the batch plant will run on water that is trucked in; there is no well proposed for the batch plant at this time and it will not be connected to the Town’s municipal distribution system."

Someone on Council informed me that the Proponents also asked the Municipality if they could obtain WATER from their Permit to take Surface Water at Corry Lake but that the Town refused and that they will TRUCK it in from Petawawa. And my response to that would be why not just get CONCRETE from the 5 Ready-Mix Plants that are there already less than 30 minutes away?

At this POINT in TIME we will NEED a Guarantee from the MECP that the Proponents will not be able to request a WATER PERMIT for another well on this Property at a later time since the Justification Report proves that there is barely enough WATER for the septic needs of 10 Offices only, and there is nothing more for the Concrete Plant because allowing this Proposal to happen without CLEAR ANSWERS on this Matter will present a REAL THREAT to our WATER SUPPLY when you understand the Science of Hydrology!!!
