Despite the idea of having procedures to ensure otherwise, the chance is high that these fish will eventually escape into waterways where they aren't currently represented. As we know from previous examples, the consequences could be catastrophic for the native species.

The wastewater will be treated, but again we risk contaminants that could kill native species. Do we really need another species of fish in Canada? I believe this would be a needless risk and should be denied.
