We respectfully are requesting that the Minister consider modifying City of Toronto By-law 822-2033 as it relates to the properties at 4711, 4723, 4733 and 4751 Steeles Avenue East, specifically to designate them Mixed Use Areas. The properties, owned by Nova-Depot Group and currently occupied by single-storey retail buildings and surface parking, are adjacent to the Milliken GO Station, at the north edge of the Milliken Employment Area. They are highly appropriate for mixed-use development that retains employment and adds high-density housing that would support the significant investment being made in the GO Expansion project and help to meet the critical need for more housing across Ontario.
