I plea that you do NOT allow York1 to build a dump 1 km outside of the town of Dresden. This would be an environmental disaster! Molly’s Creek runs near that land, which drains into the Sydenham River which drains into Syne and Lake St. Clair. The people of Walpole Island First Nations fish from these waters for their livelyhood and culture as well as many other people.
Besides those water issues, there’s the issue of water wells in the area and the methane gas being released when they disrupt the aquafir when the dig.
Lastly the increased traffic on our area roads. Our roads cannot handle this increase of traffic & added weight.
The people of Dresden deserve better, come and see for yourself how close this proposed dump is to homes and our beautiful, historic town.
Please do not allow this to go through!
