As a concerned citizen who resides in Gravenhurst year round, I oppose the construction of this soil treatment plant. Gravenhurst does not have the road infrastructure to handle the existing traffic let alone the amount of trucks that will be added onto the road travelling to and from the proposed plant. There has been very little information about how the government is planning to ensure that these contaminants do not enter our watershed and contaminate our gorgeous lakes, not to mention there are properties that use well water all up and down that road that would be at risk of contamination. This is IRRESPONSIBLE AND UNSAFE.

Muskoka is not a dumping ground for the city’s waste. Our environment deserves to be protected as well as the local animals and citizens. I am not confident that we will be if this plan goes through.

Keep Muskoka beautiful, protect Gravenhurst!
