It is hard to even fathom that an over 40 year old dormant landfill used for burial of incinerator ash and only used by residents who lived in this small rural town are now having to fight to not have 6000 tonnes of constructive demolition waste brought here and 30000 of soil 24/7. This all being done by Torontos York 1 who have had not given the least bit of transparency to our community and is all for Toronto to ruin our town.

Ruin with pollutants and contamination to our nearby ecosystems and habitat and watershed, in our Sydenham River and Mollys creek with 80 species of fish and 34 of freshwater mussels.

Theee will be an increase in flooding risk by obstructing natural drainway passages . Leachate can cause long term threats to our agricultural products and our food safety.No one can assure that this won’t occur. Safety hazards with traffic with hundreds of trucks daily! Litter from their loads ifnot always secured right which is seen all around other landfills .

It will also affect the value of our homes and businesses being 1 kmto a huge dump with noise, smell, which there will be no matter what York is trying to say. Their information has already been misleading and limited . They have bigger plans in store if this isn’t stopped now.

Noise,traffic,air pollution organic waste to create methane and people are not going to come and invest here with a landfill that will become one of the biggest dumps around for York 1 that is not welcome here and never will be.

Do what is right and say no to York 1. How did it ever get this far to make Dresden residents afraid for their town and the safety of their residents???!!!!! Dresden is in this together and No one in Dresden wants York 1.
