I am a resident of Dresden and I strongly oppose this proposal. I attended the York 1 information session that was held at the arena. I found them to be very disingenuous with their proposal. They have attempted to slide in through the back door, relying on permits that were issued back in the 1970s. They have zero interest in completing an Environmental Assessment. This project will have a massive negative impact for the town of Dresden and surrounding communities. York 1 could not care less. They are only concerned with saving money and outsourcing GTA garbage to small town Ontario.
