I am opposed to this massive expansion and believe a current standardized environmental assessment be completed at this site. Once it is made apparent how potentially negatively this project will affect our waterways, ground water and community, I believe it will be obvious this is a poor site for York1's ambitions. It's clear York1 is trying to piggyback off an old inherited permit for a disposal site and put astronomically more refuse there that it was never intended for and never seen. York1 representatives have bragged they have full legal right to this expansion due to the existing permit. Their over-confidence is very insulting and concerning. Especially coming from a multi millionaire (billionaire) corporation. Imagine their attitude if this is approved. Our town and local ecology will be shocked to say the least. A SPRING FED creek runs directly behind their property. This is such a rare and wonderful creek full of animal life that it shouldn't be risked. Shameful.
