As a Pearce family…

As a Pearce family descendant and someone that visits John E Pearce Provincial Park regularly, I appreciate the ministry looking into what to do with this park.
After talking to a few Pearce family members, we would love to see the park go back to nature and have protected conservation status. We understand the concern with the bank erosion and are concerned about the stone coin’s safety in the next 10+ years.
I propose moving the stone marker to the dirt area by the gate entrance. Provide some viewing platforms for bird watching and let nature take over the roadway.
I look forward to watch the future of this park.
