Please do not let York 1 proceed without a comprehensive environmental assessment. This location is a terrible location for any landfill let alone one of this magnitude. Dresden is just starting to attract new residents through new house builds, their retail is growing, their Christmas and Summer night markets attract huge crowds. They are a young community with many children.
Then there are the environmental issues with the Sydenham River, fish, other aquatic life, air quality, birds, noise, traffic, quality of life...
There has to be a better location. Please don't let this go forward and destroy so much of what this community has worked so hard to build.
