If this landfill fiasco is not stopped then there should at least be an environmental assessment done. Dresden is being ignored and dictated by YORK1 with an unwanted landfill /dump that is an improper and unsafe distance to town.
Dresden is being confronted with groundwater, air and noise pollution, danger to our habitat,ecosystem, flooding and health issues.York 1 is disregarding our road safety with up to 700 trucks a day into a small town and surrounding area and endangering our land along with compromising our town’s economy. Their information relayed to Dresden residents has not been accurate or forthcoming.
How many reasons do we need to stop York 1. It is documented that landfills should be much greater than 1 km from where we live. How many messages and repeated signatures does it take to see that Dresden does not agree or welcome York 1 to our rural town with all their pollution from the GTA.
