Effets de la consultation

Comments relevant to the water taking proposal were considered as part of the review of the application. The main concerns raised were regarding the discharge of potentially contaminated water to the natural receiving environment.

The ministry addressed this concern by including conditions in the permit to require the permit holder to either discharge to the City's sewer system according to City bylaws and monitoring or to transport water off-site for treatment and disposal. Discharge to the receiving environment is not authorized by the permit.
