The changes to the site plan for ARA Licence No. 2447 were approved by the Director on April 29,2025
The approval allows George Bann & Sons Construction Limited to amend the current site plan to change the final depth of extraction from above the water table to below the water table. This will deepen the existing licenced quarry by 12.2 metres with an average final floor elevation of 132 masl.

Six (6) comments were received through the ARA consultation process.
The concerns were related to Natural Environment, Hydrogeological, Surface Water, Species at Risk and site plans.
The concerns were addressed by providing additional information and revisions to the site plan.

Additionally, notification of this application has been forwarded to the Township of Loyalist, Lennox and Addington County, Cataraqui Region Conservation Authorities, Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks for comment.
