Arriscraft Canada Inc. - Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage)

The proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval for industrial sewage treatment and stormwater management works serving Arriscraft Canada Inc., located at 875 Speedsville Road in Cambridge, Ontario.

The stormwater management works comprise of stormwater quality control and quantity control, and include a stormwater management wet pond, conveyance trench, and infiltration gallery that discharges to a Wetland along Highway 401, ultimately draining to the Speed River.

The industrial sewage treatment works comprise of two (2) submersible pumps, a reverse osmosis water system, two (2) boilers, ten (10) autoclaves, a water recycling tank, two (2) closed loop settling ponds, and a storage pond (Horseshoe Lake) that are designed to meet effluent quality requirements for total suspended solids, prior to being pumped back to the facility for reuse as cutting water in a closed-loop system.

The Ministry may require monitoring of the industrial wastewater and stormwater effluent discharge leaving the site.
