Apollo Health and Beauty Care Inc. - Environmental Compliance Approval (air)

This proposal is for the renewal of the Limited Operational Flexibility for Environmental Compliance Approval (air) No. 8492-9P8PN5 for Apollo Health and Beauty Care Inc., previously known as Apollo Health and Beauty Care Corporation and Apollo Health Corp., a manufacturing facility of various liquid soap, liquid sanitizers, mouthwashes, body washes, and hair and skin care products, located in the City of Toronto, Ontario.

The emission sources from the manufacturing and associated processes that discharge to the air include:

• boiler;
• tanks;
• cooling tower;
• fume hoods;
• fragrance room;
• alcohol batching room and pre-weigh storage area

Emissions to the air from this facility include:

• ethanol;
• hydroxypropyl methylcellulose;
• xylenes;
• guar gum,2-hydroxy-3-(triethylammonium)propyl ether chloride;
• magnesium nitrate;
• sodium 2-(dodecanoyloxy)propane-1-sulfonate; and
• nitrogen oxides

The Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air), when issued, permits modifications to the facility subject to limits on operational flexibility that include a production limit for the facility to be specified on the Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air). The limited operational flexibility conditions have an expiry date. The company will be required to make an application for amendment at that time to renew these conditions.
