The proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval for industrial stormwater management works serving a Toronto Hydro Electric System Transformer Station located at 1508 Sentinel Road, Toronto in the City of Toronto.
The stormwater management works consist of the installation of an oil containment system that has been designed to allow rainwater to filter through the liner materials but becomes impermeable when in contact with oil. The oil containment system will provide safeguards to the surrounding environment by retaining oil and contaminated water that may leak or spill as a result of a catastrophic failure in the electrical equipment.
