Cavanaugh Concrete Ltd. - Environmental Compliance Approval (air)

This proposal is for an Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (Air) for Cavanaugh Concrete Ltd. for the operation of a ready-mix concrete facility, located at 4788 Albion Road in Gloucester, Ontario.

This application includes all emission sources from the facility that exhaust to the atmosphere, including:

• cement and cement supplement storage silos
• aggregate and sand stockpiles
• aggregate and sand loading bins
• weigh hoppers
• a loading spout for transferring unmixed concrete to ready-mix trucks
• one (1) dust collector
• one (1) polarmatic heating unit

Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include:

• calcium carbonate
• calcium sulfate
• crystalline silica
• portland cement
• silica fume
• slag
• suspended particulate matter
• nitrogen oxide

The Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (Air), when issued permits modifications to the facility subject to limits on operational flexibility that include a production limit for the facility to be specified on the Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (Air). The limited operational flexibility conditions have an expiry date. The company will be required to make an application for amendment at that time to renew these conditions.
