Atlas Roofing Corporation - Environmental Compliance Approval (air)

This proposal is for an amendment to the Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 6946-9MQP8U with Limited Operational Flexibility for Atlas Roofing Corporation, a foam sheet insulation manufacturing facility, located in the City of Toronto, Ontario.

The emission sources from the manufacturing and associated processes that discharge to the air include:

• natural gas-fired burners,
• natural gas-fired boilers,
• dust collectors,
• foam pour table exhausts,
• laminator exhausts, and
• adhesives usage exhausts

The amendment includes renewing the Limited Operational Flexibility, adding Laminator top and bottom natural gas burners, adding a storage tank with two associated pumps, and modifications to various equipment throughout the site.

Emissions to the air from this facility include:

• nitrogen oxides,
• particulate matter,
• pentane,
• noise and more

The Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air), when issued, permits modifications to the facility subject to limits on operational flexibility that include a production limit for the facility to be specified on the Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air). The limited operational flexibility conditions have an expiry date. The company will be required to make an application for amendment at that time to renew these conditions.
