7974906 Canada Inc., operating as Alumicast Technologies - Environmental Compliance Approval (air)

This proposal is for an Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (Air) which replaces all the current Environmental Compliance Approvals for Air at this facility and includes the addition of new or historically unapproved sources for all emissions from 7974906 Canada Inc., operating as Alumicast Technologies, a manufacturer of various products and parts through die casting of aluminum and zinc alloys, located at 705 Bayview Drive in the City of Barrie, Ontario.

This application is to reflect changes to operations and equipment including:

• the addition of Limited Operational Flexibility
• the increase of zinc and aluminum processing rates
• the addition of four (4) stacks for natural gas combustion, one (1) sidewall exhaust for natural gas combustion, and two (2) general side wall exhaust fans.

Emissions to the air from this facility include:

• nitrogen oxides
• lead
• nickel
• hexahydro-1,3,5-tri (2-hydroxyethyl)-s-triazine

The Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (Air), when issued permits modifications to the facility subject to limits on operational flexibility that include a production limit for the facility to be specified on the Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (Air). The limited operational flexibility conditions have an expiry date. The company will be required to make an application for amendment at that time to renew these conditions.
