Effets de la consultation

Comments relevant to the water-taking proposal were regarding the potential for impacts on a highly sensitive area and a highly vulnerable aquifer, as well as potential effects on key hydrologic areas, features, and functions, as outlined in the Niagara Official Plan (NOP) policy.

Ministry technical staff determined that there are no anticipated impacts, as the proposed amendment does not result in new development or site alteration, is consistent with NOP Policy 3.1.10.1, and does not negatively impact groundwater or surface water resources. Additionally, the permit conditions are sufficient to detect and address any potential impacts through monitoring, reporting, and adaptive management.
