Multishred Inc. - Environmental Compliance Approval (waste)

This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) for Multishred Inc. for a Waste Disposal Site (processing) located at 2750 Stevenage Drive, Ottawa, Ontario.

The function of the Waste Disposal Site is to complete on-site destruction of high-security paper, textile, printing plate and information technology (IT) media including solid state drives (SSDs), magnetic media hard drives (HDDs), cell phones, USB Keys, computer circuit boards, memory cards/chips, and CD/DVDs.

Materials are brought to the facility and are processed indoors. Following shredding, waste materials are temporary stored on-site while awaiting transport by licensed third-party haulers for further recycling or landfilling at licensed facilities. 

The processing facility will process up to 3.3 tonnes per day and 160 tonnes annually. A maximum of 9.91 tonnes will be stored at the facility at any point in time. On-site operating hours will be Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
