CM Greenfield Power Corp. - Environmental Compliance Approval (air)

This proposal is for an amendment and renewal to the Limited Operational Flexibility for an Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 3245-AAHLHL for CM Greenfield Power Corp., a power generation facility, located in the St. Clair Township, Ontario.

The emission sources from the manufacturing and associated processes that discharge to the air include combustion turbines, cooling towers, gas heater, diesel fire pump, auxiliary steam boiler, and black start emergency diesel generators. The amendment is to include an additional abrasive blasting unit and update the three combustion turbines. Emissions to the air from this facility include:

• nitrogen oxides
• carbon monoxide
• sulphur dioxide
• hydrogen chloride
• particulate matter, and
• ammonia

The Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air & noise), when issued, permits modifications to the facility subject to limits on operational flexibility that include a production limit for the facility to be specified on the Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air & noise). The Limited Operational Flexibility conditions have an expiry date. The company will be required to make an application for amendment at that time to renew these conditions.
