ROSEBURG FOREST PRODUCTS CANADA LTD. - Environmental Compliance Approval (air)

This proposal is for an amendment to the Limited Operational Flexibility for an Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. A-500-1099838295 for Roseburg Forest Products Canada Ltd., a medium-density fibreboard facility located in Pembroke, Ontario.

The emission sources from the manufacturing and associated processes that discharge to the air include receiving, refining and drying, forming, pressing, board cooling, and board finishing operations, as well as heaters, dust conveyance system, and all other supporting equipment and operations. The amendment includes updating the maximum outputs of the suspension dust burners, and replacing the existing press hoods with a press scrubber.

• nickel
• nitrogen oxides
• particulate matter
• noise

The Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air & noise), when issued, permits modifications to the facility subject to limits on operational flexibility that include a production limit for the facility to be specified on the Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air & noise). The limited operational flexibility conditions have an expiry date. The company will be required to make an application for amendment at that time to renew these conditions.
