Univar Solutions Canada Ltd. - Environmental Compliance Approval (air)

This proposal is for the renewal of the Limited Operational Flexibility for an Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 1679-9RESSS for Univar Solutions Canada Ltd., a facility that receives, distributes, and blends chemical ingredients to create finished chemical products, located in Guelph, Ontario.

This proposal includes all emission sources from the manufacturing and associated processes that exhaust to the atmosphere including transportation of bulk chemicals, pumping chemicals into storage/blending tanks, and storage, repackaging and distribution to customers including the equipment and any other ancillary and support processes and activities. Emissions to the atmosphere from this facility include:

• hydrogen chloride
• nitrogen oxides
• nitric acid, and
• sulphur dioxide

The Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air), when issued, permits modifications to the facility subject to limits on operational flexibility that include a production limit for the facility to be specified on the Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air). The Limited Operational Flexibility conditions have an expiry date. The company will be required to make an application for amendment at that time to renew these conditions.
