This proposal is for an amendment for an Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 1105-DJSRF6 for Cyclic Materials Inc., a metals recycling facility located in the City of Kingston, Ontario.
The emission sources from the manufacturing and associated processes that discharge to the air include pilot scale metals sizing and sorting, production scale metals sizing and chemical leaching for rare earth metals extraction, and bench scale laboratory analysis of feed and products from the processes.
The amendment includes addition of second scrubber system, two cooling towers, two chiller units and a stand-by power generator. As well as, the modification of three dust collectors and exhaust points.
Emissions to the air from this facility include:
- calcium
- lanthanum
- terbium
- samarium
- iron
- nitrogen oxides
- sulphur dioxides
