This proposal is for an Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air and noise) which replaces all the current Environmental Compliance Approvals for Air at this facility and includes the addition of new or historically unapproved sources for all emissions from Global Plas Inc.'s facility manufacturing plastic interior, exterior, and under-the-hood automotive components located at Unit 3 - 6685 Langstaff Drive in Vaughan, Ontario.
The application includes all sources at the facility, including plastic injection moulding, plastic grinding, adhesion promoter application, assembly, packaging and shipping and natural gas fired comfort heating equipment. Emissions to the air from the facility include:
- suspended particulate matter
- acrylonitrile
- ethylbenzene
- isopropyl alcohol
- acetaldehyde
- methyl ethyl ketone
- acetic acid, and
- acrylic acid
The Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air and noise), when issued permits modifications to the facility subject to limits on operational flexibility that include a production limit for the facility to be specified on the Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air and noise). The Limited Operational Flexibility conditions have an expiry date. The company will be required to make an application for amendment at that time to renew these conditions.
