Dana Canada Corporation/Corporation Dana Canada - Environmental Compliance Approval (air)

This proposal is for an amendment and renewal of the Limited Operational Flexibility for Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 0269-A3YMVX for Dana Canada Corporation/Corporation Dana Canada, an automotive heat exchange unit manufacturing facility, located in Mount Forest, a community in Wellington County, Ontario.

The emission sources from the manufacturing and associated processes that discharge to the air include nickel electroplating, stamping, brazing, dry-off, assembly, leak detection and testing of finished parts, and final product storing and shipping.

The amendment includes the addition of dry-off ovens, brazing ovens, furnaces, a dryer plate, a compressor, and additional/modified exhausts.

Emissions to the air from this facility include:

• ammonia
• nickel
• nitrogen oxides
• naphtha (petroleum) hydrotreated heavy
• lead
• cadmium, and
• n-butyl acetate

The Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air & noise), when issued, permits modifications to the facility subject to limits on operational flexibility that include a production limit for the facility to be specified on the Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air & noise). The Limited Operational Flexibility conditions have an expiry date. The company will be required to make an application for amendment at that time to renew these conditions.
