This proposal is to amend Environmental Compliance Approval (waste disposal site) No. A272702 for the Kincardine Waste Management Center (KWMC), a 40.5 hectare property with a landfill area of 5.5 hectares located at 437 Sideroad 15 North, in the Municipality of Kincardine, Bruce County, Ontario.
The Service Area is the Municipality of Kincardine. The hours of operation are from Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
The purpose of this application is to amend the existing ECA to permit the establishment and operation of a Hazardous and Special Products (HSP) collection unit at the KWMC Site. The proposed amendment involves the placement and operation of an enclosed HSP storage and handling unit within the existing waste receiving and segregation area of the landfill. No changes to the approved landfill footprint, waste disposal capacity, or existing landfilling operations are proposed as part of this amendment.
