This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage) for the replacement of the existing effluent disposal field at the Cinder Lake Campground located on C12531, Part 1 and 5 and CL2750, Part 1, Plan 1R-4574; east of Highway 108 and approximately 13 km north of the City of Elliot Lake, Ontario.
The existing effluent disposal field will be decommissioned and reconstructed in its current general location while extending further southward to ensure there is a 30-metre setback from the Cinder Lake high-water mark.
The proposed large subsurface disposal system (LSSDS) consists of two septic tanks, a pump chamber, a valve chamber equipped with an indexing valve to ensure equal dosing to the small distribution boxes; and infiltrator chambers.
The LSSDS is designed to operate with a daily flow of 19,925 liter per day to serve 45-travel trailer lots and a 100-person assembly hall.
