On May 23, 2023, approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow the Municipality of Middlesex Centre to lower the depth of extraction from above the water table to below the water table and change final rehabilitation from agricultural to agricultural with a pond feature on site.

No comments were received in response to the Environmental Registry of Ontario notice.
Two (2) comments were received through the Aggregate Resources Act consultation process. The comments included:
- Clarification of extraction depth, phasing and rehabilitation for the site
- Adding Natural Environment recommendation to the site plan
- Adding Hydrogeology report recommendations to the site plan
- Administrative site plan changes
The concerns were addressed by the proponent through updates to the site plan.

Application has been made by Municipality of Middlesex Centre to amend the current site plan to allow pit operation intended to extract aggregate material from below the established groundwater level of 271.35 masl. to a depth of 269.95 masl. The pond will be left as is with a final rehabilitated slope below water of 1:1 and above water slope of 2:1 level.
