Increasingly we are aware of the essential importance of Old Growth Forest; the Boreal Forest. We CANNOT cut. If we need wood we need to create new plantations.

Cutting down trees must stop and reforestation must begin immediately. Trees are the lungs of the globe and if we don't protect and replenish them we and our world will not survive.

This Forest Biomass Plan is not a solution. Instead it adds to the problem. One of the main products of Ontario’s forest biomass industry is wood pellets. Wood pellets are marketed as a clean energy alternative, but in reality wood pellets are dirtier than coal at the smokestack. Lire davantage

This proposal is in many ways just as dirty as using coal. How about more renewables such as wind and solar, that do not put more pollutants into our air.
