I live in the Stouffville area. Transit is almost non-existent. You can go from 9th and Main to the Markham-Stouffville Hospital ion York Transit. You can go from Stouffville GO Station to Toronto via bus, train or bus/train depending on the time. Lire davantage

Doug Ford stated he would not touch the Greenbelt. The developers received advanced notice. Niagara 's official plan did not call for urban boundary expansion in Grimsby. He lied. A lot of conservative voters are disgusted. There was no platform for this action.

It would be extremely detrimental to the environment, human health, economy, and society to remove any areas from the Greenbelt. "Redesignating" lands are not the same as protection and enhancement. Lire davantage

To whom it may concern, I am devastated by plans to develop ecologically sensitive areas of our greenbelt. This will have dire consequences for future planning and the health of our ecosystems province-wide. Lire davantage

The bill was railroaded through and removes critical greenbelt land that was said to be untouchable. Developers given access to the plans beforehand. It's embarrassing and a band-aid solution to a much bigger, nuanced problem.

Do not remove any areas from the Greenbelt. The additional development land is not needed for the new homes. You are just making your developer friends richer!! You also promised to not touch the Greenbelt.

I am absolutely heartbroken about his plan to build on the greenbelt. This will NOT help the housing crisis at all. If Doug Ford thinks he will be getting re-elected he is in for a wake up call. I am totally against this! Absolutely disgusting. Do NOT go ahead with this plan. Lire davantage

This is just so wrong on so many levels. We need to keep and protect our green spaces. I hope you reconsider this and the impact it has on the environment. Stop being so greedy.

Keep the greenbelt untouched. Government constantly cries about global warming but then destroy environments like this.... it's shameful and absolutely hypocritical! Stop cutting down swaths of land and spraying everything with chemicals! Do more to protect the GreenBelt, not destroy it! Lire davantage

I do not agree with Bill 23. We do not need to open land in the current Greenbelt to be developed for housing. There are plenty of lands within urban growth boundaries to accommodate future housing. There are municipal and provincial lands that could be built on. Lire davantage

We should not set the dangerous precedent of authorizing green belt land for development to accomplish such a small portion (about 3%) of the overall housing goal (1.5M new homes by 2030). Our focus should be on first exhausting all other avenues for new home development.

While I recognize the importance of more housing, paving over more of our shrinking greenspace, especially the 'green belt', which is essential to what is left of the GTA's ecosystem, is shortsighted and lazy. I'm sure areas of already developed land (say, most of Etobicoke... Lire davantage

We are in the midst of an apocalyptic destruction of nature, never before encountered in the history of humanity. I am a mother and grandmother, and I despair about the world my daughter and granddaughter are going to have to live in. Lire davantage

I am a residence of Richmond Hill living south of the greenbelt. I am alarmed by the new land near the town of Erin to be added to the greenbelt protection area, which is north of the greenbelt, away from urban area. This not land valued by developers. Lire davantage

It is indefensible to redesign the greenbelt and then give another piece of land instead. The greenbelt has been earmarked for conservation because of what it contains. You cannot just decide what other piece of land you want to give instead.
