I was disappointed to hear about this proposal. To be clear I do not have a bike. However, evidence shows proper bike lanes actually reduce gridlock. Toronto in particular has too large a population for everyone to commute by car and the solution to gridlock is to improve other options such as cycling and public transportation so that only manageable level of private vehicles are needed. The city is also capable of assessing appropriate bike lanes and I am against restrictions on them.
