The Province of Ontario has no business interfering in municipalities' efforts to enhance transportation options for citizens. In almost all instances, bike lanes reduce or do not change car congestion, according to this report: https://epub.wupperinst.org/frontdoor/deliver/index/docId/6597/file/659…
If anything, the Province of Ontario should be requiring municipalities to consider introducting more bike lanes (but not requiring them to do so).
Do not pass this act. Do not build Highway 413.
