I believe trying to improve an already disappointing and un thought out system is pointless and a waste of time. I have only been hunting for a few years but I don't believe I will ever get a Moose tag in my area, do to the points system and only been able to hunt the weekends. According to your system as it was it would take 10 points for me as an individual to be "guaranteed" a Moose tag as I understand that would be 10 years if it is 1 point a year or 5 years if you get 2 points a year still don't fully understand how points are distributed yearly. There is no reason to attempt to get a tag in my local area since it will take so long and since I hunt for food and am not in the upperclass I can't just travel to a different WMU or afford an "outfitter". I believe there shouldn't be any tags giving out to outfitters all tags for Moose should be given out only to residents hunters in there WMUs and if there are any left over sell them to "outfitters" or non resident to that WMU ontario hunters. I also believe that it should go back to a first come first serve system with today's technology you could easily applie. I hope this comment helps to maybe make it easier for us resident WMU hunters who can only afford to go local on weekends get tags, as well to hopefully atleast make the description of how these new tag points systems work for the rest of us so that atleast we might attempt to hope for a tag.
