I can’t see why this isn’t an overreach of provincial power, also not going to solve anything in Toronto where I drive and bike. Every street with bike lanes made it more enjoyable to walk on too and it doesn’t feel like congestion has gotten any worse, in fact it seems better (though that may be due to more folks doing work from home).
If congestion is a problem, I often choose to bike or walk instead, but without bike lanes it would just make me choose the car more often and still likely be stuck.
