This proposal is deeply concerning. We should be discouraging drivers to take their cars to downtown, and instead, make the streets safer for pedestrians and cyclists. I used to commute on foot on Spadina in downtown for years and thought the sidewalks are too narrow and the bike lanes aren’t safe enough for cyclists. There have been too many accidents and a lot of people are getting killed by reckless drivers already. Build the city safe for people not the cars. And this is also environmentally unfriendly not to mention.
